Lucerne Bacterial Inoculant – improve plant nutrition, and promote your plant growth by stimulating plant hormone production
Rhizobacteria are often referred to as plant growth-promoting rhizobacteria, or PGPRs. The Rhizobacteria promote growth by increasing the supply or availability of primary nutrients to the host plant. The Eco-Rhiz biofertilizer adds nutrients through the natural processes of nitrogen fixation.
Rhizobacteria, through, nitrogen fixation are able to convert gaseous nitrogen (N2) to ammonia (NH3) making it an available nutrient to the plant, which supports and enhances plant growth. The plant provides the bacteria with amino acids so they do not need to assimilate ammonia. The amino acids are then shuttled back to the plant with newly fixed nitrogen.
Rhizobacteria are also able to control plant diseases that are caused by other bacteria and fungi. Disease is suppressed through induced systematic resistance and through the production of anti-fungal metabolites.
Apply as a seed treatment OR through irrigation at planting. Irrigation treatment may also be used to treat existing crops. Apply once during the growing season, in early summer.
